The Story of FireKitty by, Robin Swan

The story of Firekitty is the story of my maternal grandmother. She sought safe passage through the hills of Iran from a village in a region called Uremia to the beautiful shores of the United States where she felt that she could plant her seeds with safety.

I come from a long line of these women who were seers, healers, and mystics. The women who taught me how to work with plant medicine were the women who forged over these mountains – escaping death. Sewn inside their skirts and their bags were seeds that were, to them, as precious as gold. They knew that no matter where they settled, planting their seeds would bring about the longevity of their tribe.

One of these women was my maternal grandmother, and the way that I would spend time with her was by helping her. From the time I could remember I was her helper. She used to tell me I was a teacher, and in my little girl mind I thought that she meant a third-grade teacher which is something I never wanted to be,  But as I’ve grown older, I see with my wisdom what she was talking about – it’s the teacher I have become.

The one who shares the knowledge and plants the seeds. I have become the woman that she intended for me to be when she made me, as a little girl, stand at the stove stirring the pots of different herbs that smelt awful. It felt it punishment and I longed for my cousins and play.

At this point, I am grateful to her, as we all should be, to all of the women in all of our lineages who have sought safe passage so that you could read these words on this page because this is the story of FireKitty,

Firekitty is the story of synergistic medicine with plants that come from the cradle of civilization.  Frankincense from the Middle East, Myrrh from the Abria, Calendula from the Mediterranean, Rosemary from Europe, and Cinnamon from the coast of India blended with the five-finger healer that lives on every continent that we call cannabis hemp.

FireKitty Uses and Dosing

FireKitty Oil is our signature recipe. It works as an oral and transdermal infusion for calming and comfort. It has many uses and can be taken topically, orally and combined with other Swan Apothecary medicinals.

Topical Use

Shake the bottle with your index finger and thumb. Use your coated finger to apply firekitty topically to any inflamed areas. FireKItty works great with added heat. You can use a heating pad or massage it into the affected area.  Apply as needed to the affected area topically.

Oral Use

Generally, less is always more when it comes to dosing orally. 1 ml for every 100 pound of weight is a good rule of thumb here. Remember to wait at least 30 minutes between each dose.

Additional Uses and Benefits

FireKitty Oil has versatile benefits beyond its primary uses. It can soothe irritated skin, relieve minor aches, and help reduce stress when used aromatically or in massages. It’s an all-in-one solution for natural, everyday care.
